Victoria Tea Festival Revival

  • 633 Courtney Street inside Nootka Court Victoria, BC Canada (map)

The Victoria Tea Festival Revival returns for a grassroots farm-to-cup experience & community learning, presented by the International Tea Appreciation Society (ITAS). Tea enthusiasts will come together to drink teas from around the world presented by experts in their fields. Festival activities include a tea fair with tastings, tea symposium, live music, food, ceramics gallery, documentary screenings, & the World Tea Championship.

The symposium this year will be located in Lower Nootka Court with specialists speaking on ancient tea, Japanese tea traditions and tea hunting at origin, as well as a unique tea documentary showing!

A yearly highlight is the farmer's market style Tea Fair throughout the court with tea educators from Vancouver Island, Vancouver, and elsewhere such as @O5Tea, @CloudwalkerTea and @JagaSilk. Teas will be prepared by merchant educators showcasing their teas, sourced from all over the world directly from the farm of origin in Japan, China, Bhutan, India, Taiwan, Korea and more both internationally and locally, creating an authentic farm-to-cup experience! There will be a Tea Ceramics Museum set up like an art gallery. The festival is also proud to host its 3rd year of the World Tea Championships.

The festival’s focus this year is to expand further into the education of tea making, art, history, and stories, a chance to connect with the earth and the families that produce teas year to year. “This festival is always a celebration of those who drink tea and want to enrich their lives, alongside those who wish to hone their tea-making skill,” said International Tea Appreciation Society representative Jared Nyberg.

Suggested minimum donation of $15-$25. Non-profit event. BYOTc Event ~ Bring Your Own Teacup.
