Don’t miss out on miss out on artist talk and art demo by award winning artist ~Charlie Easton~ hosted by Gallery Merrick. Charlie is an astounding landscape and seascape painter, and is represent by galleries across North American and Europe. He comes from a family of British artists, but when he moved to Canada in 2006, he fell in love with the scenery that inspired the Group of Seven. Although Charlie now has a studio in Vancouver, his first love was painting on location of the imagery that inspires his work. He has had residencies in Haida Gwaii with the Haida Nation and Parks Canada, in Banff, and in Whistler.

ARTIST STATEMENT: “The closer I can get to my subject – both physically and mentally – the more honest and impactful my paintings are. I want the viewer to come hiking with me, to ski by my side, and to see the same stunning views that get me so excited to be alive.
